Impact Factor 2017 — correction
At the end of last year, after an annual re-evaluation of the 2017 Impact Factor (IF) values, we have been informed that the actual 2017 IF for Kardiologia Polska (Polish Heart Journal) is 1.213.
The change is due to an incorrect indexation of three Polish translations of the 2016 ESC Guidelines that were omitted previously and erroneously excluded from the IF denominator. A decrease in the 2018 IF will be announced on the title page of our journal starting from the January issue. The new editorial team is paying attention to the appropriate indexation of all items to avoid such mistakes in the future.
We hope that the new 2018 IF will be above 1.5, based on the current estimation.
