Focus and Scope
Kardiologia Polska is a scientific and educational, peer-reviewed journal covering a broad spectrum of topics in cardiology and cardiosurgery. The journal presents original papers, reviews (invited by the Editorial Board), case reports as well as letters to the Editor, reports from conferences, books’ reviews and other articles.
Peer Review Process
Articles published in the Kardiologia Polska are subjected to a process of review. Submitted manuscripts are evaluated by the editors of the Polish Heart Journal, primarily in terms of their values and way of the presentation of the subject. Manuscripts with insufficient quality for publication are rejected. In the review process following qualities are evaluated: the originality of the work, the significance of the results, methodology and data quality, the presentation of results, the quality of discussion and appropriate selection of the literature. Evaluation takes place in the points system, on a scale of 1 to 6, using a special form of reviews, which is avilable only to the Editor.
Articles followe by the reviewers comments are directed by the Editor to the author to ask for a correction or addendum. After considering the comments of reviewers, improved manuscript is sent to re-review, and after its successful completion, submitted for publication.

Open Access Policy
Articles published on-line in the Journal are available in open access under Creative Common Attribution-Non Commercial-No Derivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) allowing to download articles and share them with others as long as they credit the authors and the publisher, but without permission to change them in any way or use them commercially.
